P.O.O.F!

 Today was our (almost) last Friday, so students had the chance to reflect on the past week by completing one last POOF (Positive Observations on Friday) page.

We shared our observations in class, and now students have been asked to share their page with someone at home.

 Students had the chance to build and test flying devices made out of a plastic straw and paper.



They then participated in a tournament to see who had the flying device that could fly the farthest.

C.F.O.O!

   In Français, it's time for our LAST CFOO 

(Le Club Fabuleux des Orateurs et Oratrices)! 

This is a public speaking "club" that will help students improve their oral French skills through short speeches.

For their last presentations, students can choose any one of the options that they have not already presented. They will prepare their short oral presentation, fulfilling all of the criteria (listed on the pages they have in their binder).

Students should also keep in mind eye contact, volume and expression during their presentation.

The CFOO Presentations will take place on Thursday, June 6th.

AAiM Day!

 Students had the chance to participate in the Aerospace and Aviation in Manitoba Day today at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada!

Students learned about aircraft maintenance, the forces of flight and the composites used in building airplanes.





Students participated in a space simulation.





Students built and tested paper straw rockets and paper airplanes.










Students were able to go inside a plane!




Science + Fun = Terrific Field Trip!
