 This morning students explored the reproduction of the Witness Blanket at Bruce Middle School under the guidance of Indigenous Educator North Star.

Français: daily reading, practicing grammar, reading, telling and writing structured stories

English Language Arts: daily reading, writing about artifacts on The Witness Blanket, preparing and presenting Speechtastic, learning about idioms

Sciences de la nature: researching invertebrate animals, learning about vertebrate animals

Sciences Humaines: learning about Canada's involvement in World War I: the Battle of Passchendaele, art in war, Books of Remembrance

Also this week: Field trip to the Witness Blanket!

Speechtastic!

 It's time for Speechtastic!

This time, students are preparing an Informative Speech. They have chosen a topic (a person, a place, an event, a product...) and are planning a 2-5 minute speech to inform the audience about this topic. They should be sure to have an introduction, a middle (with all the important information explained with clear details) and a conclusion.

Speechtastic Presentations are Friday, December 1st!
